Confession of a Shopaholic Review

Confessions of a Shopaholic (Shopaholic, No 1) Publisher: Dial Press Trade Paperback - Sophie Kinsella

Hello everyone, so I'm here to bring you a review!!! Yaaaassss! This time it's going to be on Sophie Kinsella's "Confession of a Shopaholic", this is my first read from her, so I was excited to jump right in. Now, before I go on any further, I did watch the movie before I read the book. It makes me mad that Hollywood doesn't even bother sticking to the plot of the book itself.

Anyways, I don't want to talk about the movie and Hollywood, let us stick to the book form of all this!

Okay, let's get started:

The story focuses on a woman name Becky Bloomwood, who has the latest and trendiest styles in London. The only problem is she can't really afford all of her things, but she keeps buying more.

Here is what I thought, I liked the story, but Becky was just someone I would not want to be around. I can't imaging why she would do what she is doing and constantly. Don't get me wrong there is funny moments in the book, but the book didn't really grow on me like I was hoping it kind of would. I'm also, reading the second book of this series and well, I don't want to get into that detail yet.

I was rooting for Becky to get her life together and find that one dream job that will get her somewhere. Like I mentioned the book to grow on me and I hate to say this early on, I don't think the second book will too!

That doesn't mean that I won't read other books by Sophie because I have two other books that are not of the Shopaholic series!

Well, that's it for me for today, I will be back on Wed for another post! So, I hope you all have a great day/night where ever you are and I'll write to you all later!

HUGS!!!
