BoBs Day 5 and Book Review

The Undomestic Goddess - Sophie Kinsella

Hey everyone and how's it going? I hope you all are doing Fantastic, I'm not doing to bad myself! Well, I am back again with an update and a challenge. So, after I have finished updating you all yesterday, I actually read a bit more of "The Count of Monte Cristo" and I'm still liking it. I have been continuing on as well with "Twenties Girl" and today it got better and I was liking what I was reading. Still, a bit of craziness, but I am about seven chapters away to finishing it! Ok, so onto today's challenge it's really interesting and I get to knock out one thing. And, that is a book review challenge. That's it, I have to share a book review and what a cool thing to do. So, as promised, I proved to you a book review. I will be giving you all a review on "The Undomestic Goddess" by Sophie Kinsella!

The story is about a woman name Samantha Sweeting who is a high power lawyer and a workaholic! She's awesome at her job, she doesn't let anything get by her. Until, one day she realized she had made a pretty huge mistake and she ends up having a meltdown and walks out of work and heads to he middle of nowhere. She ends up at a house to hopefully get a glass of water and direction. But, the owner of the house mistakes her for being apart of an interview to becoming a housekeeper! Now, Samantha finds herself doing something that she never does and that is cooking and cleaning!

I fell in love with this story and it's characters. Sam is pretty funny when she tries to figure out how to open an ironing board and doing the laundry. Her employers Eddie and Trish are quite strange, funny, and down right laughable. Sam's love interest Nathaniel is a total sweetheart and is swoon worthy, and not to mention really awesome at his job! His mom Iris is amazing, kind, sweet, Jill of all trades, patient, and takes on any challenge that comes her way (aka Sam in general.) This story is light-hearted and funny, I didn't know what I was going to expect when I dove into the book. Despite some people that you really want to knock out, this story had me laughing a whole lot. The chemistry between Sam and Nate is adorable and I was rooting them on the entire time. Iris had become my favorite character and I too wanted to learn how to cook and sew from her. I pretty quickly figured out why Sam seemed to have "made" a mistake while at her old job. And boy, that one was a bit of a douche move on someone whom Sam trusted so much.  All in all I enjoyed this book 100% and I would recommend this to anyone into comedy romance. And, a fan of Sophie Kinsella!

Well, that was a fun challenge right. It is different and I'm glad that someone had thought of this. I hope you all get a kick out of my impromptu review! I hope you awesome nerds/bookworms are having fun reading! And, I will be back tomorrow with yet another update and challenge.

Later Days!
